Simone founded Advantage Partners Lawyers with the focus of providing advice and strategies that are commercial, creative and solution driven. Simone considers her clients her partners, and seeks to assist them achieve their goals and visions.

Previously, Simone had been Corporate Legal Counsel for both Bartercard Australia Pty Ltd and Bartercard International Pty Ltd, established international and Australian Franchise and Barter/Trade Exchange organisations.  Simone managed these companies’ Legal Departments and was a valued member of their executive management teams. A highlight of Simone’s career with Bartercard was when she was responsible for and undertook the legal work for Bartercard International’s successful AUS$25.5 million sale of Bartercard Australia Pty Ltd in 2007.

Simone has also worked as a lawyer within private legal firms, and whilst undertaking her Masters in corporate and commercial law, Simone taught at Bond University and Griffith University on the Gold Coast.

Simone is a proponent for mediation as a method to prevent, manage and resolve conflicts, as well as using mediation to improve businesses’ internal and external relationships and assist strategy sessions. An accredited mediator, Simone is listed on the Office of Mediation Advisors panel.

Simone’s expertise is within the corporate and commercial arena, with a particular focus on franchising, sponsorship, corporate, business acquisition and intellectual property.

In her above mentioned roles, Simone has acted for private individuals, council, public and private companies in various matters throughout Australia and overseas. In particular, Simone has worked with established national and international franchisors’ and been involved in the design and establishment stages of various franchise systems.

Simone is an elected member and representative of the Franchise Council of Australia’s (“FCA”) Queensland Committee. She is also the Chair of that committee’s Legal sub-committee.  Simone has maintained a continued involvement in the FCA in Queensland and Nationally. This has included giving presentations, lectures and facilitating roundtable discussions for and to FCA members and on behalf of the FCA to members of the public. Simone has also assisted in organising, holding and facilitating FCA events within Queensland and Nationally. In particular, Simone was head of the FCA QLD State Conference 2009 organising committee, where speakers included various experts and corporate and government representative speakers.
